Annual Tournament of Roses Parade (Jan 1)

Featuring spirited marching bands from throughout the nation, majestic floral floats,
and high-stepping equestrian units. Pasadena, Calif. Watched by millions worldwide,
this annual New Year's parade features traditions of floral floats and pagenatry. This
year's theme is "It's Magical" and the Grand Marshall is Mickey Mouse.
OC Marathon Weekend (Jan 5-7)
January 6-8
The second annual OC Marathon will benefit eleven Orange County children's charities.
The fast, scenic course winds through Irvine, Newport Beach and Tustin. Health, Fitness
& Nutrition Expo will be held along with the marathon, half marathon, 5K Run/Walk

backstage look at how Stars on Ice became America's most prestigious figure skating tour.
Annual Winter Barrel Tasting (Jan 27-28)

The Temecula Wine Growers Association hosts the 16th annual Winter Barrel Tasting where
guests are invited to each of the 20 participating wineries to sample wines aging in barrels
or tanks, unreleased wines and new favorites. It is the perfect opportunity to befriend the
winemakers and ask questions. Each winery will be serving foods that complement the wines.
Tickets are $75 per person and $50 for designated drivers. Tickets have typically sold out a
few weeks prior to the event, so it's best to purchase them early.
