Romantic Restaurants
The Cellar
Fullerton, CA
Mosey through this restaurant, and you'll see candles on every table and wine
barrels stacked against the walls. There is a low, slanted ceiling and several
isolated, semi-private booths. Tucked away in the corner is a tiny wine grotto
(just for show; the real wine cellar's upstairs). Yes, it's a cellar -- but
if all cellars looked like this, dining rooms would be obsolete.
The wine cellar, which holds more than 1,400 wines from 15 countries, has
earned the Wine Spectator Grand Award for more than 10 years running. -- Lena
Katz (AOL City Guide)

The Anaheim White House
Anaheim, CA
The Anaheim White House is a beautiful home built in 1909 that has
become one of Anaheim's most famous hidden treasure. This historical landmark
has been tranformed into a five star restaurant that provides a unique dining
experience and has been hailed by the California Restaurant Writer's Association
as the "best restaurant in Southern California."
If you will be anywhere in Orange County, the Anaheim White House is a must
for truly delightful dining. The delicious mix of Northern Italian dishes are
attentively served in a series of distinct, beautiful rooms. There have been
countless reviews of this restaurant and many dining connoisseurs have said
that "it's an elegant destination that lets diners feel like celebrities."

Mr. Stox
Anaheim, CA
Mr Stox features a full bar lounge with a cozy fireplace. The dining rooms offer
comfort and privacy with spacious booths in an elegant setting. The rich Axminster
carpeting and beautifully illuminated works of art complete the setting for
a relaxed dining experience. A pianist performs nightly in the dining area while

The Hobbit
Orange, CA
One of the last truly elegant dining experiences in Southern California, this
singular restaurant serves a sumptuous seven-course meal of contemporary Continental
cuisine. In classic European fashion, dinner lasts all evening long. There's
only one seating, and you may not order a la carte. Nor should you want to;
it would defeat the purpose.
Dinner begins in the wine cellar and eventually proceeds to the main room,
where three more courses are served at a leisurely pace. Then there's a short
break. Guests can use this time to tour the grounds, meet the chef, or simply
relax and get ready for the next consignment of food.

La Vie En Rose
Brea, CA
It has a turret and a half-dozen picturesque dining rooms with tapestry-covered
booths. The full bar is located in the turret, and a huge stone fireplace dominates
the lobby. The lunch menu features many entrée salads and pasta dishes
as well as heartier dishes such as bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin. For dinner,
lobster ravioli is one of the most popular appetizers, while entrées
are led by sautéed sea scallops, crispy duck leg confit, and grilled
mahi mahi served with green grape relish.

Singles Clubs and Bars
Pierce Street Annex
Costa Mesa, CA
Admittedly, the pink and turquoise roadhouse isn't much to look at
from the inside or out but the grungy Pierce Street Annex has assets which are
much more important than flashy looks: cheap drinks and a lack of pretentiousness.
If you visit Pierce Street Annex from Thursday to Saturday night, you're almost
guaranteed to have fun. I don't know if it's the friendly people or care-free
atmosphere, but whatever it is, Pierce Street Annex goes off.
Bar 330
Brea, CA
There was a time when you had to trek to hip cities like Manhattan
or Hollywood to experience an ultra-modern nightclub with post-modern interior
design, sleek furniture and cutting-edge music. Now, dance clubs like these
are quietly emerging in places as remote as the suburbs. As far as north OC
is concerned, Brea's Bar 330 is on the short list as one of the most luxurious
clubs in the county. But Bar 330 is much more than just expensive furnishings
and good music; It also has exceptional martini and cigar menus, well-attended
club nights and a pretty impressive clientele list.

Rockin Taco
Fullerton, CA
Since 1997, this bar has been serving up ice-cold beer and shots galore
and entertaining crowds with its famous dueling piano show.
"We're known for the dueling pianos," General Manager Eric Carter
says. "We've been rated the No. 1 piano show in Orange County for the past
four years." Rockin' Taco caters to a diverse crowd, from the college kids
throwing back shots after a busy day of classes to the businessmen standing
near the walls sipping on Coronas after a hard day at work.
On any Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday, the sweet sound of music echoes
in the streets near the downtown Fullerton watering hole. Valentine's Day is
sure to be a lot of fun at Rockin Taco this year, so don't miss out.
